The Long Beach Islamic Center asked Phillipe Horvath to provide conceptual designs for a mosque and qua'anic academy. The Signal Hill site will also include outdoor prayer and social spaces, administrative offices, a library and a college size basketball court. The walls of the structures will be constructed from rammed earth dug from the excavated subterranean parking.
